NEW DELHI: The ministry of education on Friday said Class X and XII Board exams of 2021 and other competitive tests would be conducted after due consultations with students, parents and teachers in view of the

said, “Conducting examinations is no less than a challenge. Despite the uncertainty due to Covid-19
, it is crucial to conduct board examinations as well as entrance examinations for admission to higher educational institutions. “I will have an interaction with parents,
and teachers in this regard and exams will only be conducted based on outcome of the interaction.”
The minister said he would interact with students online on December 3 to dicuss the upcoming Board and competitive exams.
The minister’s remarks came after a high-level review meeting on Thursday decided to hold wider consultations with students, parents and teachers on the conduct of examinations next year in the times of the pandemic.
“A campaign would be launched to seek views from students, parents and teachers on how and when to conduct the exams next year,” the ministry said in a statement.
Schools and universities were closed in March in view of the pandemic. Competitive exams like JEE and NEET-UG were postponed twice this year due to the pandemic while the board exams were cancelled midway and results announced on basis of alternative assessment scheme.
